Supply Chain Transparency
The “California Transparency in Supply Chains Act” became law on January 1, 2012, requiring retail sellers and manufacturers doing business in California to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking in their direct supply chains. SZNS / El Media & Marketing Group Inc. and their affiliates and subsidiaries support this effort and proudly comply with the Act, specifically as follows:
We expect our direct product suppliers to adhere to and to implement SZNS’s Code of Conduct which addresses working conditions for suppliers and specifically prohibits the use of involuntary or forced labor, human trafficking, child labor and harassment and abuse.
We prohibit all manufacturers from utilizing any forced or child labor of any kind.
We reserve the right to send independent auditors to inspect factories with which we contract, to ensure compliance with our Code of Conduct specifically prohibiting forced labor and compliance with applicable laws and regulations at their facilities.
Our direct suppliers certify by contract that they comply with all applicable laws of the country or countries in which they are doing business.
We maintain internal accountability standards for employees or contractors failing to meet company standards regarding slavery and trafficking.
We make sure that our employees who work with supply chain management are educated and aware of slavery and human trafficking risks.
